Dave Kear, Guitarist

Dave has been playing and teaching professionally for over 30 years.

He plays many styles from traditional classical guitar, flamenco and Spanish classical, to
rock, pop, folk, and jazz standards in the instrumental style. Some of David’s credits include:

Guitarist for the opening ceremonies party at the 1984 Olympics.

Guitarist for the Spiral Starecase band (Their song; “I love you more today than yesterday”, was a #1 hit).

Studio guitarist for A+M records.

 1^st place winner at Skips Music’s “Guitar Wars”.

Dave is a disciplined teacher and teaches all styles. Including formal classical guitar, rock, folk, soloing, rhythm, all finger picking and strumming techniques. Focusing on the basics of mechanics and execution, and stressing the importance of being able to execute well before going on and attempting more difficult material.
